  1. First of all I want to say great blog! I had a quick question in which I’d like to ask if you do not mind. I was curious to find out how you center yourself and clear your mind before writing. I have had a hard time clearing my thoughts in getting my ideas out. I do take pleasure in writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are wasted simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any suggestions or hints? Thank you!

    • Thank you so much!
I find myself running into that problem a lot, and if I can’t tackle it right away, my writing usually falls to the back burner.
When I can’t quite figure out how to pump out a stellar intro to a blog [or any type of writing for that matter], I have to write as though I’m writing in a diary. This shifts my purpose from pleasing an audience to pleasing myself. This may sound selfish, but if a writer’s work is not authentic to who they are, than it will never be good enough. It’s hard, but if you write for yourself instead of an audience, the end result is usually a work worth reading.
      Thank you!
